Elettronica Tirrito has designed and marketed a SMART sensor capable of measuring the level of tanks, wells and cisterns. This smart sensor is available in an optical version (WaterMeter VL) and with a hydrostatic pressure probe (WaterMeter Pro - SND). Water Meter ET can be configured in Access Point mode or Cloud Mode. In AP mode, without WiFi, users can view litres and reserve percentage from a smartphone at a distance of about 50 m. In Cloud Mode the device is online and connected to ET servers, allowing remote tank level viewing and email alerts when the tank drops below 75%, 50% or 25%, or during filling. It is based on a laser time-of-flight sensor, so it avoids the reading errors typical of ultrasonic wave reflections on tank walls.

The platform wateret.sigmapro.it is a WebApp: it does not require mandatory installation and can be reached from any Internet-connected device simply by opening the address above in a browser.

  • Android: to simplify access, the APK can be downloaded from the link above, or you can open wateret.sigmapro.it da Chrome, toccare i tre puntini in alto a destra e scegliere “Add to Home Screen”.
  • iPhone / iPad: aprire wateret.sigmapro.it from Safari, tap the button Condividi e selezionare “Add to Home Screen”. This makes WebApp access available as an icon on the home screen.

Level monitoring for tanks, wells and cisterns

Water Meter ET lets users view the tank level and receive useful information for reserve management. The system can be configured in local or cloud mode, adapting to installations with or without a WiFi network.

  • Water Meter VL: optical laser sensor with measurement range from 2 cm to 3.5 m.
  • Water Meter VL - Relay: optical laser sensor with measurement range from 2 cm to 3.5 m and 12V / 24V NO COM NC relay output for configurable thresholds.
  • Water Meter PRO SND: measurement through hydrostatic pressure probe with 12V / 24V NO COM NC relay output for configurable thresholds

Water Meter VL - Relay

Version with NO COM NC relay output for exceeding configurable limits and thresholds. It is suitable when level monitoring must activate external commands, local automation or threshold alerts.

Operating mode: in Access Point Mode, without WiFi, litres and reserve percentage can be viewed from a smartphone at about 50 metres. In Cloud Mode the device connects to ET servers and enables remote viewing and email alerts for tank levels below 75%, 50%, 25% and tank filling.
